Frequently asked questions

Does the project need to be realized?
YES. Both product and interior must have been realized between 1 January, 2011, and 1 September, 2012.


What can be entered?

Furniture and/or lamps that have been custom-designed for a specific public or commercial interior (ie: hotel, restaurant, bar, school, shop, etc). Products designed for private homes will not be accepted.


Products already in commercial production are also eligible.


All designs must be by professionals whose qualifications are recognised by their local accreditation organisation.


Who can enter?
Individual designers/architects, architecture/interior design firms, as well as multi-professional teams worldwide.

Developers, funders, contractors and other associated organisations (for example clients), may also enter on behalf of the architect/designer, with the architect/designer's consent.


When can the contest be entered?
The application period will be open from 1 September to 7 December, 2012. Click here to create a profile and submit your work.

How many designs may be entered?
Applicants may submit up to three entries.

What can be won?
The winning architect/designer receives a cash prize of € 25,000.

What is the application fee?
There is no cost to apply for the award - it's free!
